I have been wanting Braidynn to love coloring and finally she has taken it up. I love it and so glad she does too. She will sit down & draw and color everything she can think of. Well, this morning she dragged out her crayons to begin her newest masterpiece. She drew a big circle in the middle and then two long "arms" going out horizontally. She then asked me what she should draw next, to which I replied, "maybe a line doing down to the bottom for the body." So she draws a long line down connecting the circle to the bottom of the page. When she's done, she says, "Look mommy & daddy! This is like a long penis! A very big penis!"
Yeah....that's right, that's what she said. I mean WHAT do I say?!?! She has a little brother and so of course she has asked questions and so we told her what it is called. Ben & I were dying with laughter (on the inside of course.) What do we do? I didn't want to draw more attention to this than needed. I mean, do I adress the fact that we really shouldn't talk about or DRAW!!! private parts? or just leave it be? I'm sure some people would say it's pure art, right? :)
So now the picture has a lot more to it and the lines look like legs (thank goodness) instead of other body parts. Here's the finished pic:
